The embattled R&B/Pop sensation Chris Brown makes a bold return with his fourth studio album F.A.M.E., amid controversy following an unfavorable appearance on The Good Morning America Show on Tuesday. Attempting to appeal to a mainstream/international audience, F.A.M.E. incorporates R&B, pop, hip-hop, reggae and Europop styles. Brown worked with several record producers and songwriters for the album, including Benny Benassi, DJ Frank E, Kevin McCall and Diplo, among others.

TAKERS is a summer crime action film, where a group of five exceptional bank robbers (Michael Ealy, Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen, Paul Walker, Idris Elba) have been able to successfully rob several banks with such perfect execution that the police do not have a single clue to capture them. They are pulled into one last job by a recently paroled cohort (T.I), only to be pitted against a hard-boiled detective (Matt Dillon) and his partner (Jay Hernandez) who interrupt their heist. The 2010 BET Awards was undoubtedly an event to remember, as artists -past and present- gathered to celebrate the achievements of predominantly African-American influenced popular music. The live televised show with host Queen Latifah began with Kanye West performing his first single ‘Power’ to his upcoming album. The performance was West’s first major stage appearance since a self-imposed break from the public eye, following his now infamous incident at the MTV Awards last fall.

Chris Brown had an emotional moment into his skillful Michael Jackson tribute performance, as the tarnished entertainer broke down during his ‘Man in the Mirror’ rendition, perhaps passionately contrite from his now infamous incident involving then girlfriend and R&B/Pop counterpart Rihanna.

Rap/R&B sensation Drake performed a set with Jeezy, as the Toronto native basks in his success following the release of his debut studio album Thank Me Later, which debuted No.1 on ITunes the week of its official release.

All continue to bare witness to this contemporary Romeo and Juliet love saga, as Chris Brown releases his third studio album today, entitled Graffiti, exactly two weeks after his estranged ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, released her album, Rated R. Graffiti does not quite deserve the praise of his past albums, yet deserves mentioning due to related circumstances. Like Rihanna, Brown aims to expand his music by embracing Euro-disco, Goth-rock and New Wave to accompany his standard hip-hop flavored love ballads that he has become known for. Brown, like Rihanna, also makes several obvious references to his past, present, and future relationship with continued love interest, Rihanna.
